Moments of Impact: The Greenbridge Summit 2023

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting 30 senior leaders from across our Impact Partners for the second annual Greenbridge Family Foundation Summit. It didn’t disappoint. We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know these leaders and their organizations remotely over the past year, but nothing beats the chance to get together in person to share ideas and deepen those connections. Our goal was to inspire, educate, connect and express our profound gratitude for their incredible work.

These innovative, ambitious, and world-changing leaders represented organizations tackling some of the most urgent issues facing our world today: climate change, innovating on the American criminal justice system, protecting American democracy, supporting those most vulnerable and giving equal opportunity to those most deserving.

While the issues these organizations tackle are as broad as they come, they also face similar challenges: how to attract top talent, how to secure the funding necessary to expand their work, how to get the word out about their impact, or how to design strategic conversations.

We decided this year to focus on that final topic: designing strategic conversations. We were thrilled to welcome the dynamic and compelling Lisa Kay Solomon to explore this topic, given the work she put into an incredible book a few years back, Moments of Impact: How to Design Conversations that Accelerate Change. With some great stories, ideas, and humor, she opened our eyes to the importance not just of planning for important conversations, but designing the entire experience by focusing not just the functional requirements but also the emotional engagement of the participants.

We were also so happy to welcome so many friends to join us, giving them the opportunity to meet these incredible leaders and create space for rich connections to be built. Much like last year, we can’t wait to see what these connections will enable in the months ahead.

The summit reinforced for us just how talented and exceptional this group of leaders we have curated over the last few years. We hope you’ll consider getting to know these organizations further by reviewing them on our Initiatives page.

Thanks again to all who joined.

We are grateful to ©Gabriel Harber Photography for capturing the magic of the day.
