Catalytic Partners, Lasting Change

We believe that the end of a grant cycle should not mean the end of a partnership. While our active granting often focuses on "catalytic" moments—helping an organization establish itself, bridge a gap, scale a program, or enter a new market—the impact of that work continues long after our formal commitment ends.

This gallery celebrates our "Success Stories." These are the organizations that have moved from early-stage innovation to proven, systemic impact. We are incredibly proud to have played a small part in their journey, and we continue to champion their work as they set new standards for what is possible in their respective field.

Code for America

What they do

Code for America works to bridge the gap between the public and government in the digital age. Their Clear My Record program uses technology to automate the record relief process for people with eligible criminal convictions, helping to remove barriers to employment and housing. To date, their work has influenced technology and policy that will result in the sealing of approximately 13 million records across the country.

The Leader

CEO Amanda Renteria is a dynamic leader who brings deep experience from the highest levels of government and a commitment to making digital services work for everyone. We backed Amanda because of her clear-eyed focus on equity and her ability to lead large-scale systemic change through civic technology. Her leadership ensures that the organization remains centered on the needs of the people it serves.

The Impact Realized

We are proud to have supported the expansion of the Clear My Record initiative during a pivotal window of growth between 2021 and 2025. Since our first grant, the program has played a key role in the passage and implementation of Clean Slate legislation in states including California, Utah, Connecticut, and Illinois. This partnership has proven that modern technology can be harnessed to deliver restorative justice at a scale previously thought impossible.

Clean Air Task Force (CATF)

What they do

Clean Air Task Force pushes for the change needed to reach a zero-emissions high-energy planet at an affordable cost. They combine research and advocacy to advance low-carbon energy technologies, such as carbon capture and zero-carbon fuels, which are essential to decarbonizing "hard-to-abate" sectors like shipping. Their efforts have contributed to US federal policy that is expected to reduce methane emissions from the oil and gas sector by 80% through 2038.

The Leader

Executive Director Armond Cohen is a pioneer in the climate space who brings a rare combination of legal expertise and strategic patience. We chose to support Armond because he champions a diversified approach to decarbonization that is often ahead of the mainstream curve. His leadership has helped CATF become a primary architect of some of the most significant climate policies of the last decade.

The Impact Realized

CATF is regularly identified as one of the most effective climate organizations in the world, frequently topping the lists of independent evaluators like Giving Green and Founders Pledge. Our partnership has seen them grow from a specialized group of experts into a global force that is essential to the climate conversation. We are proud to have backed a team that consistently delivers the highest possible impact for every dollar invested in our planet’s future.

Humanitix

What they do

Humanitix is a social enterprise ticketing platform that directs 100% of its profits from booking fees to education projects for disadvantaged children. They offer a high-quality event management tool that turns a standard business expense into a vehicle for social good. Through their model, they have already transformed $16.5 million in fees into literacy programs and scholarships for children in need.

The Leaders

Co-Founders Josh Ross and Adam McCurdie are a dynamic duo whose shared passion for social impact is matched by their technical expertise. We backed Josh and Adam because of their unique ability to disrupt a competitive industry with a model centered on generosity. Their collaborative spirit and entrepreneurial drive make them standout leaders in the social enterprise space.

The Impact Realized

Greenbridge was an early supporter in helping Humanitix establish its American presence, providing the foundational support needed to bring their model to the US market. It has been rewarding to watch them successfully scale their operations and increase their charitable giving significantly within the United States. They have successfully turned a simple transaction into a powerful engine for global education.

Lead Exposure Elimination Project (LEEP)

What they do

LEEP works to eliminate lead poisoning in low- and middle-income countries by advocating for the regulation of lead paint. They have successfully partnered with governments in countries such as Malawi, Pakistan, and Sierra Leone to implement effective policies that protect children from permanent neurological damage. Their interventions are incredibly cost-effective, with their first project in Malawi resulting in a 50% drop in lead paint availability in just two years.

The Leader

Co-Founder Dr. Lucia Coulter is a visionary leader who transitioned from medicine to advocacy to address one of the world’s most neglected health crises. We chose to support Lucia because of her analytical rigor and her ability to navigate complex international policy environments with clarity and speed. Her leadership ensures that LEEP remains focused on high-impact, data-driven solutions.

The Impact Realized

We invested specifically in the capacity building of LEEP’s senior leadership team as they prepared for a significant expansion of their programming. This increase in operational reach is allowing them to expand their focus outside of lead paint to other hazardous lead-based products, including contaminated spices, cosmetics, and lead-acid batteries. Seeing them successfully navigate this pivotal moment of growth has been a highlight for our foundation.

Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR)

What they do

The Center for Reproductive Rights is a global legal advocacy organization that uses the power of the law to protect access to reproductive healthcare. Their legal victories in the US have ensured that medication abortion remains accessible via telehealth and have struck down "admitting privileges" laws that previously forced clinics to close. These wins ensure that millions of individuals can still access safe care and maintain autonomy over their own bodies.

The Leader

President and CEO Nancy Northup is a formidable legal strategist who has led the organization through some of the most challenging periods for reproductive rights. We chose to support Nancy because of her unwavering commitment to constitutional protections and her ability to lead a global movement. Her expertise and resilience are vital to the protection of human rights.

The Impact Realized

Our support for the Center began in response to the fall of Roe v. Wade and the urgent need to protect rights through state-level battles. We have been proud to back their litigation in state courts to protect access to care and challenge bans in an increasingly complex landscape. Their work ensures that even as access becomes a state-by-state decision, the legal right to travel for care and access medication remains a critical priority.
