Climate change is one of the defining challenges of our time. Its impacts—rising temperatures, extreme weather events, and natural disasters—are no longer distant warnings but present realities.
At Greenbridge, we believe in the power of policy, science, and innovation to drive meaningful change. Addressing this crisis requires bold ideas and coordinated global action to reduce carbon emissions while leveraging market-driven solutions to scale clean energy, reforestation, conservation, and electrification efforts.
Though our contributions are just one piece of the puzzle, we remain steadfast in supporting interventions that push the boundaries of what’s possible. By prioritizing science-backed and innovative solutions, we aim to catalyze change and contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for our planet.

Megafire Action is a non-profit organization urgently building policy solutions to eliminate catastrophic fires. The modern wildfire crisis is overwhelming our systems, and the time to act is now. The good news is, this is a problem of our making, and we have the power to fix it. Megafire Action supports mechanisms that facilitate a return to healthy forests and ecosystems, promoting innovation that will assess risk across landscapes and jurisdictions in the United States, and better inform our efforts to reduce risks nationwide. It also involves reforming how agencies operate so they can effectively carry out their duties. Megafire Action is mobilizing education to create the enabling conditions for success, and eliminate the age of megafire.
-
We chose to grant to MegaFire Action due to the urgent need to address the increasing frequency and intensity of megafires, which release devastating amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. We are particularly impressed with the founder, Matt, whose leadership and passion make him the ideal person to raise awareness and drive critical action at this pivotal moment.

Blue Forest brings people, finance, and science together to restore and protect our forests, watersheds, ecosystems, and communities.
They build partnerships with investors, land managers, non-profits, Native Nations, private companies, and the public sector. They catalyze the funds and partners needed to make restoration projects happen. They free up capital to start the work as quickly as possible. And they measure, quantify, and evaluate the results.
-
We’re proud to support Blue Forest, founded by Zach Knight, whose team is pioneering a finance-first approach to protecting America’s forests. By sitting at the intersection of people, science, and capital, they’re unlocking new ways to fund ecological restoration and reduce the devastating risk of wildfires. It’s a smart, systems-level solution that strengthens ecosystem resilience and responds to the growing impacts of climate change—right here at home.

Hourglass is a non-profit research organization that brings together interdisciplinary scientists to conduct targeted, integrated, and independent model, laboratory, and field research that rapidly de-risks the key uncertainties on how to safely and effectively scale mineral-based OAE techniques.
They publish all of their research, and in turn, provide the public with transparent and informed knowledge with which to make decisions about this class of climate solutions.
-
We are thrilled to support Hourglass Climate, inspired by the innovative and creative thinking that Grace and her team bring to this urgent problem. Their commitment to tackling climate change through creative, responsible, and ethical innovations, paired with a vision for scalable impact, makes them a standout leader in this critical global effort.

Materiom’s vision is a world where materials regenerate nature and support human health.
They are founded on a nature-inspired vision of the future — one where materials are made from abundant natural ingredients that are used, broken down, and used again. Just as nature uses a common set of building blocks to create high-performance materials — from spider silk to bone — they empower innovators worldwide to create regenerative materials using a common set of tools.
-
We’re inspired by Liz and Alysia, the visionary co-founders behind Materiom. Their work reimagines how we source and use materials, building toward a future where products are made from natural ingredients that can be reused, broken down, and remade—without harm. It’s an ambitious but grounded vision with real potential to transform our everyday lives. We’re especially excited to support a female-founded organization leading with humility, creativity, and ambition in the climate and materials space.

Mati Carbon offers an innovative enhanced rock weathering technology to scale gigaton carbon removal, with work currently underway in India and parts of East and Southern Africa. The approach holds the potential to build climate resilience and economic empowerment for more than 100 million smallholder farmers in developing economies worldwide.
-
We’re energized by the bold, practical innovation behind Mati, co-founded by Shantanu Agarwal. Their approach to enhanced rock weathering offers a rare dual benefit: removing carbon from the atmosphere while boosting crop yields and improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. It’s a win-win that’s already showing results—and it’s deployable today. As recent winners of the XPRIZE for carbon removal, the Mati team is just getting started, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.

Managed by the non-profit SolarAPP Foundation, SolarAPP+ is an innovative, automated online permitting platform that drastically speeds up the deployment of residential solar energy and battery storage systems across the United States. Originally developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in collaboration with the Department of Energy, the software standardizes local government permitting by instantly evaluating contractor designs against strict, up-to-date building, electrical, and safety codes. When an application passes this automated compliance check, the system issues a permit immediately, transforming a process that traditionally took weeks into one that takes just minutes. To date, SolarAPP+ has served over 350 jurisdictions, issued more than 150,000 permits, and saved local government staff upwards of 150,000 hours of manual review time. Furthermore, data shows that projects permitted through SolarAPP+ are completed roughly 12 to 14 business days faster and are up to 29% less likely to fail final inspections compared to traditional methods.
-
At the GreenBridge Foundation, we love organizations that are finding creative, scalable ways to make our current systems more efficient. SolarAPP+ is a brilliant example of how smart technology and automated software solutions can strip away bureaucratic inefficiencies and dismantle the administrative hurdles that slow down progress. By drastically shortening project timelines and eliminating administrative backlogs for local governments—at zero cost to the jurisdictions themselves—they make it easier, faster, and more affordable for families to invest in their homes and the Earth's future. We are proud to support SolarAPP+ as they leverage tech to accelerate the clean energy transition, helping communities save money while making rapid, climate-smart decisions.

We are proud to back John Mills and his team at a pivotal moment of expansion. John’s commitment to public safety is born from firsthand experience; the idea for WatchDuty took shape when a wildfire neared his own home deep in the forest, and he realized that critical, life-saving information simply wasn't accessible in real-time. What draws us to John’s leadership is his ability to turn that personal crisis into a scalable solution that serves the common good. While the platform began with a focus on wildfires, the team is already looking toward a future where WatchDuty provides a reliable lifeline for all types of emergencies. We believe his "boots on the ground" perspective and technical ambition are exactly what is needed to navigate the challenges of our changing climate.
